MTV News sprach erstmals mit Rockstar Games über das neue GTA: San Andreas. Viele Informationen waren dem Artikel leider nicht zu entnehmen, lediglich, das man wahrscheinlich nicht mehr mit Tommy Vercetti, dafür aber mit einer anderen Figur aus der Vercetti Familie spielen darf.
Auch wurde verraten, das San Andreas in Sachen Landschaft und Stadt an San Fransisco angelgt sein wird. Auch wird man wieder auf revalisierende Gangs antreffen, wie z. B. auf die Chinatown Triads, Mexican Mobs, Hippies, Hare Krishnas und viele mehr.
Eine weitere interessante Information des Artikels ist, dass Rockstar Games den Namen GTA: San Andreas wie vermutet vorgezogen hat und die nächsten beiden GTA Titel wohl "GTA: Bogota" und "GTA: Sin City" heißen könnten.

The move to San Andreas means postponing two possible "GTA"s: "Bogota" and "Sin City," both of which were names licensed by Rock Star.
This time around, users will encounter rival gangs like the Chinatown Triads, Mexican mobs, hippies, Hare Krishnas and many more.
"Vice City" sold more than 30 million copies and spawned a successful box set soundtrack; a similar album is planned for this edition, although details are under wraps.
"GTA: San Andreas" is already available for preorder through various online retail sites. Once again the game will only be available for PS2, so start sucking up to Santa.
